Tom: Well this looks like the house. Come on!
Gina: (Knock, knock. Door opens) Hello, Mrs. Fenster?
Mrs.F: Yes, Can I help you?
Gina: Yes, I hope so. We’re from a magazine based in Dublin called The Move. My name’s Gina and this is my ….partner, Tom. We wondered [A] a few questions.
Mrs.F: What about? I don’t see [B] possibly have in me.
Tom: We would prefer to speak to you inside if [C].
Mr.F: Cathy? What’s going on out there?
Mrs.F: These people are from a magazine and they want to ask us a few questions.
Mr.F: What about?
Tom: Well, it’s about a company called Beautiful Babes.
Mr.F: Beautiful Babes? How do you know about them? What brought you here?
Mrs.F: You came alone, I hope. You weren’t followed, [D]?
Gina: No, no we’re alone.
Tom: Why [E] followed? Have you had some trouble with Beautiful Babes?
Mr.F: Look, I think it [F]if you left. We don’t want to answer your questions, you’ll only [G]upsetting my wife.
Tom: We’re simply journalists doing our job, Mr. Fenster. And we understand that you [H] to talk. But we believe you have some important information. Perhaps 500 dollars would prevent your wife from getting upset.
Mr. F: She’s an emotional woman, you know. I think [I] double that.
Tom: All right. But this [J] it.
Mrs.F: It will be. But we’ll tell you our story on one condition only.
Gina: What’s that?
Mrs F: That you don’t use our names or even mention coming to Canada in your article, is that clear?
Tom: Absolutely, crystal clear!
Mrs.F: What do you want to know?
Gina: Well, we know that you were involved with Beautiful Babes when you were pregnant with your first child, we just don’t know what sort of involvement or how you came into contact with them.
Mrs.F: It started very innocently. We went to London to see a genetics specialist in Harley Street, Jason Freedman, who had been recommended to us by a friend.
Mr.F: You see, my grandfather suffered from a very rare genetic disorder and we wanted to be sure that it hadn’t been passed on to our child.
Mrs.F: While we were there, the specialist asked us [K] in guaranteeing our baby’s chances of being good looking and extremely intelligent. He told me it would involve a virtually no risk, very quick, painless operation in Scotland and the test for the genetic defect [L] at the same time.
